conditions of hire
(a) The “Hire Company” is Table Threads
(b) The “Client” refers to the person, firm or corporation hiring table linen from the Hire Company
(c) “Terms” means these Terms and Conditions of Hire
(d) The “Event Date” is the day of the wedding or event supplied by the client to the Hire Company
If you hire from Table Threads, you are subject to our terms and conditions. Please read these conditions carefully prior to hire, as placement of an order implies your acceptance of them. All hire goods remain the property of Table Threads at all times. All goods are subject to stock availability. The client agrees to the use of photos from their event by Table Threads.
conditions of hire
Prices are for the duration of a 4-7 day hire period - this will depend on the location of the event. This does not include delivery costs. The hiring of table linen will commence from the commencement date. The client is entitled to use the table linen for the hire period. Any extension of the period must be agreed to by Table Threads and may incur additional fees. Table linen not returned on time and in accordance with this agreement will be subject to a continuance of the agreed rental until return is complete.
The client agrees to pay Table Threads the total booking fee specified for the table linen for the hire period including any freight and other charges relevant to this agreement.
Payment for hire of goods must be made by (a) 50% of the agreed hire fee upon confirmation of booking; and (b) the balance of the agreed hire fee & full security bond made 14 days prior to delivery of the goods or pick up. All payments must be made by direct deposit.
Please note that should the final payment not be made 14 days prior to the event date, the hire company reserves the right to no longer supply any table linen for the event. No deposit will be returned should this occur.
The damage waiver is a standard fee in the hiring industry to cover minor damage to the stock. It does not cover loss or negligence resulting in the item having to be replaced or written off.
The hire company reserves the right to request a security bond to cover any table linen. The bond and amount will be determined by individual booking requirements. Any damaged, missing or very unclean items will be charged at full replacement cost and/or cleaning cost will then be deducted from the bond amount. The bond will be refunded within 14 days of the event, once the hire items are returned and cleared for any damage.
delivery and collection
Goods will be shipped from Table Threads.
If the client is not available at the time of delivery, or anyone on their behalf, the table linen will not be left and further charges may apply to arrange an alternative delivery, unless a prior agreement has been made between the hire company and the client. In this case, table linen must be left in a secure, weatherproof place.
damaged, lost or stolen table linen
The client is responsible for the table linen from the time of delivery/collection until the return of it to the hire company. The client will pay the full replacement cost of any table linen badly damaged, lost or stolen. Damaged goods will be repaired or replaced on a case by case basis. Replacement costs are as follows: cotton napkin $6, cotton table runner (2.7m) $20 (5m) $35 (6m) $45, linen napkin $9.
The client may cancel a booking at any time but please note that cancelation fees will occur should the client cancel the booking within 30 days of the event date. No cancelation by the client is valid unless it has been acknowledged in writing by the hire company.
Bookings cancelled within 30 days of the event date will be charged 100% of the total hire fee.
Cancellations of bookings/events due to the weather shall still be subject to the cancellation policy above.
